SMR is a production house, which makes the Films and T.V. serials, SMR Films whose debut film 'The Silence' stars Raghuvir Yadav (Lagaan; Peepli Live), Anjali Patil (Delhi in a Day; With You, Without You), Nagraj Manjule (Fandry), is directed by Gajendra Ahire (Anumati; Touring Talkies) and has music composed by Indian Ocean (Black Friday; Masaan).

'The Silence' was awarded German Star of India 2015, Director's Vision at the 12th Indian Film Festival Stuttgart. 'The Silence' traces the journey of a rape victim and is the first ever Indian film in competition at the Brasilia International Film Festival (6th-15th November 2015). Made simultaneously in Marathi and in Hindi, 'The Silence' has been selected as part of Indian Panorama at the 46th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

SMR produced 'Ek Kiran Roshni Ki' was telecast for 163 episodes during prime-time on Doordarshan National. Questioning the application of Mahatma Gandhi's principles in modern life, 'Ek Kiran Roshni Ki' was among the top 3 programmes on Doordarshan National. A dubbed version of 'Ek Kiran Roshni Chi' currently airs on Doordarshan Sahyadri.

'Humnawaaz', a love story set against the backdrop of honour killing is currently being telecast Monday to Friday at 1 pm on Doordarshan National.

SMR's 'Inaam Bante Chalo' will soon air on Doordarshan Patna and 'Meech Ka Bhoomiputra' will air on Doordarshan Sahyadri.
